Now, as the garden makes way for new senior housing development, we pause to say thank you. We honor the land, the hands, and the hearts behind every moment here. And we look ahead to what’s next—with hope, with music, and with ube.

Before Kapwa Gardens officially closes its gates, we’re calling on our entire community to gather one more time—for a joyful, heartfelt farewell to the garden that gave us five radiant years of healing, celebration, and connection.

💜YUM YAMS returns for a final bloom—our most beloved event, revived to honor Kapwa’s legacy and all who shaped it. This is more than a party. It’s a community ritual. A moment to remember what we built together, and to dream into what’s next.

Kapwa Gardens is an outdoor activity space in the heart of SF’s SOMA Pilipinas district. Inspired by the Filipino spiritual belief of “Kapwa,” or “interconnectedness,” we aim to promote community wellness, culture, and togetherness with continued public safety in mind.
